The Miniso brand worldwide
Miniso is an international retailer of Japanese-style lifestyle goods: homeware, cosmetics, accessories, toys and stationery at affordable prices. The company was founded in 2013 in Guangzhou, China, by the entrepreneur Ye Guofu (叶国富). MINISO Group is a public company; its shares trade on the New York (NYSE: MNSO) and Hong Kong (HKEX: 9896) exchanges.
According to the MINISO Group quarterly report, as of 31 March 2026 the group operates 8 565 stores in 112 countries and regions, of which 8 210 are stores of the MINISO brand (source: MINISO Group press release, March 2026). Miniso releases licensed collections with Disney, Barbie, Harry Potter, We Bare Bears and other franchises.

There are 38 Miniso stores operating in 16 cities of Kazakhstan: Almaty (13), Astana (6), Aktau (3), Shymkent (3), Ust-Kamenogorsk (2), plus Aktobe, Atyrau, Karaganda, Kokshetau, Kostanay, Kyzylorda, Pavlodar, Petropavlovsk, Taraz, Turkestan, Uralsk — one store each.
